About Igor Prokop

Born in Budapest and now based in Visegrád, Igor Prokop is much more than a painter: a biologist, a traveller, and a poet of natural beauty.

He studied both biology and design, and has taught biology and drawing.
His travels—from the transparent waters of Cuba and the rainforests of Indonesia, to the remote islands of Vanuatu, Tonga, Tahiti, and the deserts of Mongolia—have shaped his vision.

His work explores the dialogue between mankind and nature, between microscopic detail and sweeping landscapes. He has worked extensively with painting and glass art, using techniques that unite colour, texture, light, and organic form.

In 2024 he was on the Gold List of Art Market Magazine as one of the “Top Artists of Today,” recognized for a style that weaves nature, science, and poetic urgency together.

We want this event to be a chance to experience art in an atmosphere that amplifies it: it’s about enjoying Igor’s art in a setting that brings it to life: the city skyline, the relaxed vibe of the Roxy Bar, and good conversations with people who share a curiosity for art and ideas. His work has a way of sparking thought and opening perspective, so the evening is meant to feel inspiring, but also welcoming and social.
