Uzony

Uzony grew up in Debrecen, Hungary, where he continues to live and work. He graduated from the University of Debrecen, specializing in the history of art, having studied under the renowned artist Árpád Bényi. He received his degree in 1988. He studied painting technique with the French artist Gilbert Lupfer. He won First Prize at the inter-university painting contest of 1988. 


Soon he held his own exhibitions in Hamburg, Karlsruhe and Langenbach. He took part in study trips to Paris, Milan, and Prague, as a result of which the works of impressionist painters became a major influence on his paintings. He has held more than 30 of his own exhibitions in the past two decades, and his paintings have been bought by several collectors from Japan to the USA. 


In 2013 Uzony won the gold medal in the West East Gallery (Canada). In recent years he discovered the teachings of Eckhart Tolle. He studied the natural forms of the world of fractals. It inspired the birth of abstract paintings, among others.
